AWARD-WINNING SINGER SAMI YUSUF

Award-winning singer-songwriter, instrumentalist and global humanitarian Sami Yusuf is to perform at Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, on 25 April as part of the 2nd edition of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Festival

Proceeds of the evening event will go to the OIC General Secretariat’s humanitarian works and projects

Under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Tolerance, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Festival is organised in celebration of the Organisation’s achievements and in consolidation of the Islamic culture and its civilizational heritage. The Festival aims to raise awareness on the strenuous efforts the OIC exerts towards establishing the foundations of tolerance. The Festival also seeks to promote Islamic and human values which call for tolerance and peaceful coexistence in all forms and activities, in addition to highlighting the main country attractions in the Member States and presenting an overview on the current situation and life aspects of Muslim minorities in non-Muslim majority countries.
